Cinematography that best serves the story
The Kodak Filmschool Competition will be conducted in various participating countries in Asia Pacific and Latin America. The winning film from each National Competition will then be judged at a regional level to select the overall competition winner. Eligible participants are invited to submit original films on the following conditions:
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Each entry must be submitted by the cinematographer. Only one film and only one cinematographer per entry is permitted. 2. A short synopsis and production crew list must be attached to each entry form. 3. Entries must be originated on Super 8, 16mm or 35mm negative. Maximum running time: 30 mins. 4. The cinematographer and crew members must be either a) currently enrolled in a full time film or related production training program, or b) graduated from a full time film or related production training program within the last 12 months of the competition closing date. 5. Animation is accepted if originated on film. 6. All judge's decisions are final. 7. A copy of the winning National Competition film must be made available by August 30, 2007 for Regional Competition judging. 8. Kodak will be responsible for freighting the winning National Competition films to and from the Regional Competition judging venue. 9. The winner of the Regional Competition will receive a trip to Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival during January 2008. The prize includes a single return economy ticket to Clermont-Ferrand and accommodation. 10. The Regional winner will be required to provide a 35mm print of their film for exhibition purposes.
KEY DATES See your local Kodak Office for entry deadline for the National Competition. National Competition winners will be determined by August 30, 2007. The Regional Competition results will be announced by November 1, 2007.
HOW TO REGISTER YOUR FILM Ask your local Kodak Office for a Kodak Filmschool Competition entry form which should be attached securely to your entry.

7TH ATENEO NATIONAL WRITERS WORKSHOP
Call for Submission for the 7th Ateneo National Writers Workshop
The Ateneo Institute of Literary Arts and Practices (AILAP) is now accepting applications for the 7th Ateneo National Writers Workshop to be held on October 22-27, 2007 at the Ateneo de Manila University.
Each applicant should submit a portfolio of any of the following works: five poems, three short stories, or two one-act plays, written in Filipino or English, with a title page bearing the author's pseudonym and a table of contents. Works in the portfolio should all be in one genre and written in one language only.
The portfolio must be accompanied by a diskette containing a file of the documents saved in Rich Text Format.
All submissions should include a sealed envelope containing the author's name, address, contact numbers, and a one-page resume including a literary curriculum vitae with a 1x1 ID picture.
Deadline of submission is on August 3, 2007.
Twelve (12) fellows will be chosen from all over the country. Food and lodging accommodations will be provided.
