CRAVINGS
The initial offering of the Blue Moon Gallery of the Seven Suites Hotel Observatory presents Cravings – a four-man exhibit that showcases the works of Andy Orencio, Victor Santos, William Antonio and JCrisanto Martinez. Cravings resonates the artists’ intrinsic yearning to generate on canvas an extension of himself; a reflection of his personal internal and external world; creating a distilled visual when an artist bares his soul. The oeuvres themselves are expressed by many visual images and influences, both natural and imposed.
Cravings validates the artists’ role of condensing experiences in a more in depth manner and communicate those experiences to the viewer. No matter what the subject matter, the act of painting is akin to tending the soul. It is also a means to be of service and make a contribution. The art pieces presented are meant to offer optimism, vibrancy, a sense of chaos, a sense of order and, ultimately, a sense of tranquility and the aptness of things.
The exhibit opens on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. and shall run until May 17, 2008.
