These are organizations that advocates among others, the protection of the rights of artists engaged in the expression of their art through the use of information technology innovations, and their continuing education about the implications of creating digital works that are uploaded and disseminated on the Internet.
As part of our current efforts to bring about greater awareness on the rights of artists creating and furthering their works in the digital environment to reach their intended audience, we have organized a three day seminar-exhibit for members of different artistic communities including the Multimedia, IT practitioners and students, entitled "Protecting Creative Artistic Expression in the Digital Environment" on January 10,11 and 12, 2008, at the NCCA Auditorium, Intramuros, Manila. The said event will highlight matters about the usage of artists of technological tools and schemes designed to disseminate their expression on the Internet and the legal consequences. It will be a groundbreaking seminar of its kind in the Philippines.
