PASINAYA 2009: THE CCP OPEN HOUSE FESTIVAL
With more than fifty (50) free shows and one thousand (1,000) artists performing in various venues of the CCP, this whole day event has activities for audiences of all ages and interests. The once-a-year event features sneak previews of productions of the CCP Resident Companies, namely: Ballet Philippines, Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company, NAMCYA, Philippine Ballet Theater, Philippine Madrigal Singers, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group, Tanghalang Pilipino and the UST Symphony Orchestra. The 40th Anniversary event shall include previews of forthcoming Gala shows, an Artists Market, culinary events, street parade and dancing, Art in Asphalt murals, film screenings, sports and recreation and a dragon boat exhibition. ZSAZSA ZATURNNAH ZE MUZIKAL

A beauty salon owner transforms into ZsaZsa Zaturnnah, a superhuman warrior endowed with uncanny strength and remarkable beauty. She fearlessly defends a small town from fashion forward aliens, a giant frog and rampaging zombies. Tanghalang Pilipino brings back this rousingly funny musical based on the graphic novel by Carlo Vergara, adapted for the stage by Chris Martinez, set to infectious music by Vince de Jesus and directed by Chris Millado. Eula Valdez reprises her award winning peformance as the parlorista superhero (ine) who saves the world. Laugh and fall in love again (and again). Also featuring Agot Isidro and Kahlila Aguilos (Queen Femina), Tuxqs Rutaquio (Ada), Joey Parras and Nar Cabico (Didi), Arnold Reyes and Lauren Novero (Dodong) and the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company. “ . . . a rip-roaring, laugh out loud-athon!”

An exciting showcase of the best in folkloric, classical and contemporary dance at the CCP. A are opportunity to see the leading dancers and choreographic works of Ballet Philippines, Philippine Ballet Theater, Ballet Manila, and the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group. THE CCP 2009 NATIONAL ARTS MONTH GALA
A CCP 40th anniversary gala that celebrates outstanding Filipino achievements in the field of music. The concert present timeless Filipino musical compositions ranging from kundiman, harana, sarswela, Filipino operas and musicals, to original Filipino popular music as performed by some of the country’s leading musical artists with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Chino Toledo.
