Garden Elements
Jim Orencio enjoins us to travel through the
“Under the Shade” in fact was where he developed the idea and concept for this exhibition. Beneath the shadows, he decided to pay homage to areas in his surroundings that provided respite in his impassioned development, motivation during lull days, stimulation to call on his creative muse or insight during various ponderings.
As an artist who paints what is before him, he translates his visual experience through a communion of ambience and subject matter. The terrain, through his honest depiction, brings one to ruminate on quiet but substantive thoughts. He brings forth an introspective state by recreating the convivial atmosphere of color, light, texture and life.
The transition between the natural foliage and the manmade elements through Orencio’s expressive rendering makes the static rudiments come to life. Each vista recounts an interplay of light and mood that is pleasant and inviting yet exclusive and absolute.
The visceral quality of each work coupled with the energetic brushwork communicates a moving serenity, leading one to get lost in contemplation. In this day and age where bountiful of problems greet us daily; Orencio’s pieces provide a gentle escape in order to redirect our harangued sensibilities towards a more positive outlook.
“Garden Elements” is a journey from within.
