This exhibition is composed of works with unique and diverse media. Each artist utilized their own techniques to exemplify their knowledge of the Cordillera culture to provide a multitude of perspectives and ways of exploring the Cordillera culture, resulting to the awareness of the greater Filipino community. The use of different media is plays a significant role not only in staging and presenting the culture alone, but also in addressing the cultural, environmental, religious, and social-political issues in the Cordillera community.
Baguio based artists Leonardo Aguinaldo, Edwin Macadaeg, Jordan Mang-osan and John Frank Sabado present works representative of Cordillera culture in their new show “Four Folds”. Their works of various media brings to the audience the different facets of the Cordillera culture with respect to its socio-political situation, environmental issues and shamanic/spiritual beliefs.
