Ford Madox Brown: Pre-Raphaelite Pioneer

Manchester. Two recently discovered works by Ford Madox Brown go on show alongside his famous paintings, Work, 1852-65, and The Last of England, 1855, at Manchester Art Gallery.

A re-discovered portrait of the London silk manufacturer, James Bamford, will also be on display along with about 140 other works.
Twelve murals by Brown at Manchester Town Hall, normally closed to the public, will be on view to visitors to the exhibition.
