CALL TO ACTION
Open to all Public and Private Elementary, High Schools and Universities, Art and civic Organizations/Barangay to create their own art message for the Art Miles Mural Project by submitting their entry on March 21, 2009 at Quezon City Circle main stage area from 9:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Interested participants residing outside of Metro Manila should send their entry not later than March 30, 2009 via e-mail (see regional entry*)
AMMP-Philippines is initiating this art activity during the unveiling of the Philippines’ Longest Paintings as a living manifest of the support of Filipinos for the 2001-2010: International Decade of Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World of the UNESCO.

AMMP-Philippines is initiating this art activity during the unveiling of the Philippines’ Longest Paintings as a living manifest of the support of Filipinos for the 2001-2010: International Decade of Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World of the UNESCO.
Guidelines:
1) Canvas must be in 5’0” x 12’0” measurement using acrylic base paint
2) Will only consider ONE (1) entry per school or organization/Barangay.
3) Participants must submit confirmed Registration Form with the corresponding fee of Php1,000 through bank transaction before executing their masterpiece.
4) Registration form must request from electronic mail artexperience@yahoo.com.
5) Regional entry* Outside of Metro Manila and provincial registration requirements must be submitted not later than March 30, 2009 via electronic mail artxperience@yahoo.com attachment with full color photograph of the painting and registration form requested from OTSAA.
6) Regional entry* Actual entry may send through door to door service at #27-A Sudipen St., New Haven Village, Barangay Kaligayahan, Novaliches, Quezon City 1123 not later than April 20, 2009
7) Metro-Manila and nearby provinces may submit their actual work on March 21, 2009 at Quezon Memorial Circle main stage area from 9:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m.
8) The subject and message of the mural must be focused on the culture of Peace and Environment as the main advocacy of the AMMP.
9) All entries will be paraded on June 5, 2009 during the unveiling of the longest painting in Amoranto Stadium after the unveiling of the Philippines Longest Painting for Guinness World Record Adjudicator.
10) Only 5 persons (teachers and students or artists) per entry and divided in group category elementary School/high School/college/organization or Barangay.
11) Finalist will be informed via e-mail and door to door message to attend the grand parade on June 5, 2009.
12) Regional entry* Provincial participants will shoulder their transportation and accommodation if they qualified for the finals.
13) Regional entry* To those who cannot attend, OTSAA volunteers will handle the mural for the parade review for the judges.
14) All Participants are required to bring their own meal bag for the whole day celebration of the World Art Miles Mural Project activity.
15) Gate will open at 8:00 AM on June 5, 2009
16) Judges will be roaming around from 11:00 a.m. till 12:00 nn for the preliminary selection of best entry.
17) All entries will be viewed by Art Miles Mural Project founder, Joanne Tawfilis, together with OTSAA President, Rolando M. de Leon during the parade of the murals after the declaration of GWR as the World’s Longest Painting on Continuous Canvas.
18) During the parade review, participants (finalist) must present and stretch their mural facing the audience and judges when passing the stage. And to stay briefly to allow viewing until their brief introductions are made.
19) Non-winning entries will be included on parade and to be held by volunteers for the parade review.
20) The envelope containing their certificate of participation will be forwarded to the committee immediately after exiting the stage for the finalist.
21) Participants must provide information about the painting: School/organization’s name, Title of the painting, message of the painting in three sentences only, and names of the participants via e-mail upon receiving the message of being finalist.
22) All participants are given with seat assignment at the bleacher and required to return to their seats and are encouraged to stay for the duration of the ceremonial review parade until it announce the winners.
23) After the short program, awarding ceremonies will immediately follow.
24) All winning and non winning entries will be safe-keeping of the AMMP-Philippines as the Philippine's official entry for the world conference in Cairo Egypt on September 21, 2010.
23) All entries will be included in the coffee book of AMMP-Philippines, a commemorative souvenir of the celebration of Peace.
25) All winners will be receiving commemorative medals, pins, trophy and cash prize of Php. 5,000 each in four categories.
26) A grand prize winner will be chosen from among the entries to receive the Php 50,000 cash award. will be pick-up among all entries and to be announced last and will be receiving Php. 50, 000 including medals, pins, trophy and ticket to Cairo for the group to witness the great exhibition of the century.
